What I do and why

I fly. Aviation has been a passion of mine for as long as I remember, and photography came in as a close second. The two hobbies are a great combination - and especially so in Iceland.

Flying provides a unique point of view. That is something pilots know so well. Having a camera alongside and being able to capture Icelandic scenery from above is the ultimate high a photographer can get. With the airplane, I get there quickly and safely, without having to worry about roads or traffic. But few are as dependent on good weather as I am.

The weather in Iceland doesn't allow for flying every day. In fact, we may have 150 flying days out of the 365 in a year. But when weather allows, there's no greater joy than flying around this beautiful island I'm lucky enough to call home.
